A MODEST PROPOSAL

Iran Enjoys Nuclear Deterrence Right Now

Effective drones + 60% HEU = flying dirty bombs it can trade for a nuke-free Middle East

Who’s sorry now?

The recent conflict initiated by the Zionist entity against the Islamic Republic proves that the Iranians can deliver a substantial fraction of the drones they launch into Tel Aviv. Furthermore, they’re said to be in possession of hundreds of kilos of 60% highly-enriched uranium (HEU). It’s impossible that the simple recipe for nuclear deterrence implied by these two facts could be lost on the Iranian military.

If Iran were to launch fifty suicide drones, each packed with a kilo of HEU, toward Tel Aviv, surely a minimum of 20 would arrive (more if the Israelis and their neighbors are wise enough not to intercept them). Even if these flying dirty bombs were to detonate in random locations, the city would be contaminated quite effectively. This would constitute a long-term area-denial attack that could make a city like Tel Aviv uninhabitable for a decade or longer. It would be a devastating economic blow.

It’s also sadly inelegant: any drone shot down would contaminate a substantial area, and this could happen inside countries not party to the conflict. But I’m not expecting it to happen.

This is tricky because I’m talking strictly about deterrence. If Iran were to threaten to launch such an attack, Israel would certainly respond with its own nukes, bringing about the worst possible outcome. Any kind of nuclear exchange would mean total failure.

The capability is all that matters for Iran’s security. And it already exists and it can’t be taken away by force. It’s already too late. Iran is capable of ending Israel with dirty bombs. But, unlike the Israelis, who have a plan to incinerate the entire planet if things go sideways for them, the Iranians have too much class and self respect to render an entire region uninhabitable, although they certainly could. Today.

That capability can go on sale for the right price. There’s a potentially bright future here because Iran has something major to trade: it could give up its HEU in exchange for Israel giving up its nukes. Ideally, both would agree to limit enrichment to levels fit only for civilian applications, and both would ratify the NPT and permit IAEA inspections. A nuclear-free Middle East would be a relief to pretty much everyone on the planet. Naturally, both states would retain the ability to develop nukes in the future, like when the Western Empire collapses under the weight of its own greed and violent oppression, and worldwide chaos blossoms in unprecedented glory.

The obstacle here is the perennial Israeli insistence on Iran having zero enrichment capability, a ludicrous demand that only a magical-thinking dunce like Donald Trump and his dilettante cabinet would accede to. But perhaps he’s learned from the embarrassing failure of his recent adventures in power diplomacy. The Iranians neither have, nor wish to have, explosive nuclear weapons, although they do want the ability to develop them one day if need be. And who wouldn’t, living so near an infinitely hateful Zionist entity?

For now, Iran has every right to enrich uranium for civilian use. Everyone does. Any talk about ‘zero enrichment’ is guff. The Israelis are simply going to have to accept the facts of life for a change. And it looks as if Iran force fed them a few such facts just recently, and much to their surprise. Well done.

NOTE: The Zionist Final Solution has commenced under cover of the Iranian emergency. Food is being used as BAIT to lure starving Palestinians to violent deaths at the hands of heavily-armed ZOF cowards: an utterly demonic tactic. I know Iran is important, but don’t let it obstruct your view.

Now, more than ever,

DON’T STOP TALKING ABOUT GAZA
